María Lledó
Spanish diplomat specialized in European affairs, international relations and institutional coordination. Throughout her career, she has held senior positions within the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, as well as at Spain’s Permanent Representation to the European Union.
She has also served in a number of leadership roles, including Head of the Consular Action Service, Head of the Coordination and Cooperation Service for Political Affairs and the United Nations, advisor to the Minister’s Cabinet, and Director of the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for International Cooperation.
In 2021, she was appointed Secretary General for the European Union, leading the preparations for the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the second half of 2023.
